Monday, 13 December. Leigh Pre School Christmas Beach Party
Much fun was had at Matheson Bay for our Christmas party.
Perfect swimming conditions led to nearly all the children taking to the water to burn off some of that energy and make way for a feast of bbq sausages, fish and yummy salads.
We felt lucky (and some, a little scared) to get a visit from Santa armed with presents for every child.
Topped off with ice creams and cakes - a fab party! Thank you to the teachers for organising and helping out with bbq and to parents for bringing along food.
Wednesday, 1 December. Kapa Haka Christmas Concert.
The pre-schoolers joined three local 'big' schools (Leigh School, Pakiri School and Mahurangi College) and wowed the audience at the Marae near Leigh!
Excellent dancing and singing from our under 5's who performed with confidence and pride. Practice at school has been taking place every Friday morning for a few months now and it certainly paid off.
It was a real treat to see all the groups on such a perfect sunny evening in the most beautiful surrounding of the Marae.
