Leigh Community Preschool is a ‘one of a kind’ non for profit community run preschool catering for children aged 6 months to 5 years. May newsletter

Leigh Community Preschool Newsletter  - May 2011

We welcome Jake Borich, Lotta Overath-Simpson, Jesse Salmond and Finn Muliaumasealii to the Under 2 area and Tamzin Foster and Van Smith to our Over 2 area.  Pipi, Sam and Mia have all started their school visits and they leave next month, we wish them all the best over at Leigh School

Important Notice
Could all parents/caregivers please ensure the gates are securely closed when you arrive and leave the centre.

Matariki Celebration:
Fundraising for Matariki celebration every Sunday night from 15th – 29th May. $10 Hangi packs ready for pick-up from Portside Café.  To place an order please phone:
Kahu on 425 0120, or Angela on 422 6297.
Orders must be placed before 5pm on Friday before.

IRD Tax Rebates on Childcare
If any families require a receipt for the fees over last tax year for IRD, please ask Selena. She can complete earlier years also if you wish to claim a rebate.

Could parents please name children’s clothing, even your child’s initials are a help when we are trying to find owners for lost property. Thanks

Silent Auction at Preschool
We have three vouchers that were donated for last year’s gala which were not used but are due to expire over the next few months.
1 for WOF at Wilmot Toyota – value - $45
1 for WOF and service up to the value - $180 at Cameron Auto Services Ltd - Warkworth
And a Family pass for one powered site or accommodation unit at the Whangateau Holiday camp. They will be available to view at the office as a silent auction due to end by,
3-30pm on Friday  -  27th of May 2011.

Missing: we seem to have lost quite a lot of our mobilo manipulative blocks, could parents check to see if their child has taken any home, they make great cell phones, trucks etc, thanks

Working Bee:  We may need a working bee soon to plant up our garden, sort out drainage problems and fencing areas so we will advise you as soon as possible
